While the US government, who supposedly represents the interests of US citizens, is spending billions of OUR tax dollars to bail out the dinosaurs (GM, Ford, Chrysler) that are lapdogs to the oil industry, some new automakers like Tesla , Fisker , Aptera , Phoenix , and Miles are on the scene offering some awesome hybrids and plug-in electric vehicles that, while cost-prohibitive for most, give us the hope that one day there will be affordable electric offerings for the masses, provided that someone can persuade the wealthy to go green first.
Guess what? It uses less gas and creates less carbon emissions when you drive like a sane person, rather than slamming on the gas, slamming on the brakes, sliding around corners, and generally driving like a teenage boy (or girl) in an overpowered sports car daddy bought them! Unbelievable, huh?… Find out more at, and hear the Governator make it sound exciting, at EcoDrivingUSA.com Or skip the information and take the fun driving test.
It’s like I keep telling people. The American citizen is not being given the information they need to make free choices. The two corporate candidates are the only ones allowed in the debates, and the very companies that are doing the most harm to the environment and the people’s personal finances are the ones that get air time.
The following excerpt is from an email I got from WeCanSolveIt.org:
“ABC had Chevron. CBS had Exxon. CNN had the coal lobby. But you know what happened last week? ABC refused to run our Repower America ad — the ad that takes on this same oil and coal lobby.
I sent a letter asking ABC to reconsider their decision and put our ad on the air, but still we haven’t heard back more than a week later. I think they need to hear from all of us.” http://www.wecansolveit.org/page/s/ABC

Ahh… Some places, you don’t even have to try to win. If you want voters pretty much guaranteed to vote Republican, look no further than Collin County, TX. Scared, hateful, competitive white people with too much money and no interest in learning about people, places, and things that are different from them. Oversized houses cooled to a chill with overpriced electricity in a place where windmills are only an ancient legend and solar panels are thought to be meetings held on the sun. Giant SUVs sucking down gas like alcoholics suck down beer, driven at breakneck speeds across beautiful new tollways that are quickly becoming the only routes from one side of the metroplex to the other. And people who are naive enough to believe that the Republicans will “protect” them, even though Republicans trained, armed, and funded Saddam Insane and Osama Bin Bombin’ when they needed to use them against the Russians in the cold war. I gotta get the hell outta here! You wanna see what I am talking about? Just check out the voting history from 1992-2006 that I got from a Texas state government website: http://www.markbaland.com/Collin_County_Election_History/
